Star Shine and Kids is a dedicated Non Profit committed to supporting children in need. We understand that children face a multitude of challenges, from navigating cultural transitions and managing neurodiversity to overcoming social and financial barriers. Our team is driven by a deep passion for creating a more equitable and supportive world for every child.
We believe in a holistic approach, addressing the unique needs of each child through a range of programs and services. We work closely with experts, community leaders, and generous donors to provide the resources and guidance necessary for children to build resilience, develop essential skills, and achieve their dreams.
We are particularly focused on serving children from the Ontario region, and we aim to personalise our offerings by creating spaces and support group in different languages, recognizing the unique cultural and social factors that impact their well-being. We are dedicated to building a safe and inclusive space where children and their families feel supported and understood.

Mission
To provide comprehensive support and empowerment to children facing diverse challenges, including neurodiversity, cultural adjustment, social isolation, and financial hardship. Through expert-led workshops, financial assistance, trauma-informed counselling, and community-building initiatives, we strive to create a nurturing environment where every child can flourish.

Raman Hundal
Founder
Raman is the founder and visionary behind Star Shine Kids. With a background in Electrical Engineering and a deep commitment to education, she transitioned to become a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with a focus on child development and learning. Inspired by a family legacy of service, including a great-grandfather who dedicated his life to educating underprivileged children and a father and grandfather who served in the Indian Army, Raman is driven by a strong sense of duty and a desire to create meaningful opportunities for children and families. Her expertise is evident in the success of Cool Summer Camp, a program she has led for the past 10 years in Brampton. Now, with Star Shine Kids, Raman is bringing her passion and vision to life, providing specialized support and resources to children with special needs and their caregivers.

Indrani is a seasoned journalist and content strategist with over a decade of experience in newspapers and magazines. Her work has consistently focused on highlighting issues relevant to the communities she has lived in. Indrani has a strong track record of collaborating with non-profit organizations, amplifying their impactful work through compelling storytelling. As the media landscape continues to evolve, she has proactively adapted, developing a deep understanding of digital marketing tools to craft impactful content strategies that resonate with modern audiences. As an immigrant herself, Indrani is passionate about documenting the immigrant experience. She founded an e-magazine that serves as a platform for sharing immigrant journeys, preserving these stories as valuable oral histories for future generations.
